Skies So Blue.

As of two hours ago, my weekend officially started! And it's going to be a great one! Today started off with Environmental Science and I had my test, it was OK, hopefully I did better than my last one. Then I went to Political Science and we were getting our test grades back, and I was really nervous because I thought I did really bad even though I really studied for this one. And it turns out I got a 92! yay! And the story I wrote for today's paper was the front page headline! I was really happy! Tonight is Alex's party! Super excited! I hope she likes what I got her; I totally wrapped it up in a freaking awesome way! haha. Well anyways, tomorrow I get to finally head home and see the love of my life for the first time in a month! yay!

So anyways, today was OK...had news writing and then went to go talk to someone for my lab that afternoon. I really need to stop procrastinating on my beat stories. Could turn into a problem. But anyways, then I played around on my blog and made it really cute! Then I had dinner with my homegirls Jordan and Alex and that was fun, as usual! Then I had work and it was totally boring, and then went to Walmart with Jordan, Allison, and Stevie. We saw the most amazing light up hula hoop! I wanted it. But I have like no money. And my debit card has overdraft protection, so if I spend more money than is in my account, it doesn't go though...and that totally happened when we checked out. So I had to get Jordan to cover for me, and then I paid her back most of it when I went to the ATM. I was only short like a dollar, but the stupid thing wouldn't let my card go through. Which I guess is good because then I won't have to pay overdraft fees. But anyways, just hoping tomorrow at 4:30 gets here soon! At that time my weekend will officially start! And to start it off will be Alex's 20th Birthday Partaaayyyyy! woot woot! Def. excited about that! And then Friday I'll be heading back to Dee Eff Dub!

I am so super excited about finally getting to go home and see Kip this weekend! It will be great! I just have to get through the next two days; I have a big Environmental Science test tomorrow. I should be studying more for it, but hopefully I will be able to pass this one. Alex's birthday is tomorrow so we are going to party like it's 1999! woot. I really have no energy to type out anything else on here right now....

Cabin Fever.

I've had cabin fever for the last couple days. I just can't wait until next year when I can have my own room and play music and dance around the room and have my own TV and a big full bed that isn't four feet off the ground. I can't wait to have my own bathroom and shower three feet away from my bedroom. I can't wait to live in a place that doesn't make me feel gross all the time.
Anyways, today was OK I guess. The only really eventful thing I did was my interview. Basically, I went out to the park to talk to these people, and I ended up staying out there for like 2 or 3 hours. The weather was really nice and I was getting alot of good information, so it didn't really matter. I followed them around and sort of helped out with keeping track of the people they talked to, so that was cool. Now I've just been studying all night, because I have two tests next week, and two the week after.

So I totally voted today! It was awesome! I felt like my vote actually counted, which is awesome. Tonight I hung out with my homegirl Alex, which is always fantabulous! Haha, we had an interesting night; one of my student supervisors from work ran into us, and he thought I was drunk, and then Alex had a conversation with one of the janitors about drinking from a racoon's bladder. haha. Yeah, so we started out watching Cash Cab and we totally would have won like 147873483 dollars because we are so smart! lol. Then we went to the UC and walked around and hung out in the big elevator and the big bathroom. Alex was singing opera and tried to pass it off as actual music being played in the bathroom when some lady asked if we were singing. lol. Then she tried to tell me that there is a zoo in Nacogdoches and I totally didn't believe her! So we're walking to the UC and I happen to see one of my student supervisors from work so I call out to him and I'm like, hey garrett!! is there a zoo here? and he's like, there's one in lufkin, and i was like omggg alex i knew it! haha. and then i start cracking up and stuff and he asked me if i was drunk!!! lol. I was like, no i'm just in my natural state! haha. Then we saw Into The Wild, and I liked it, but Alex did not. lol. But anyways, I'm totally ready for it to be next weekend already. So so so readyyyyy.

Two Weeks And Counting....

So it turns out I won't be able to go home until next weekend. Totally bummed about that. But it will make the times Kip and I spend together in the next few weeks even more amazing! I totally cannot wait for spring break!!!
Well today was an OK kind of day...I woke up at 7:15, but shut off my alarm and started to go back to sleep, because I usually just lay there for a few minutes before getting up. Bad, bad idea. I totally didn't wake up until a few minutes after 8, when my class starts. I figured that by the time I got ready and got all the way over there it wouldn't be worth it. Especially because I am not feeling too great. So I just went back to bed until 9, and it was awesome. Then I went to one class and then had my break for lunch and whatnot. Later this afternoon I had my newspaper meeting, and I am excited because I am covering my first "environmental" related story! Basically the county of Nacogdoches is one of three counties in the state of Texas eligible for a $50,000 grant for Parks and Recreation, and student volunteers are spending this weekend surveying local parks to get ready to submit the grant application next week. So I'm totally covering it and I'm really excited! Hopefully it will turn out well!
Then I had to go to work for about 30 minutes and we got out early because of the big game. But I totally went and watched the debate and LOST! LOST was pretty freaking amazing if you ask me!!! omg totally left me in shock at the end! haha. But anyways, I really can't wait for next weekend, and the weekend after that, and the weekend after that!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Oh, but another random thought: i freaking hate rain and humidity. The second I step outside my hair turns into nastiness. Why can't the weather just be normal????

Speak, See, Remember

Being broke sucks. And I'm always broke. I don't understand why it is so hard for me to save money, I really don't. Especially living here, where I don't have a mall or anything resembling that kind of structure. I guess it's because my job here doesn't pay that much, plus I don't work that many hours. I'll have money for Kip and I's extravaganza to Austin over spring break, which is really all that matters though. I just wish I could somehow learn to keep my money instead of spending it all, I don't even know where it goes, besides my phone bill.
So anyways, I'm just sitting here procrastinating before dindin later with my homegirls. And then I have work which I'm sure will just be loads of fun, like always! notttt. Hopefully over the summer I will get a good job that does not involve food, retail, or interacting with other human beings....

We're Burning Down The Highway Skyline

Well today, as always, woke up at 7:15 and wanted so badly to go back to sleep. However, I finally rolled out of bed and went to the dining hall for brekkie because I have no food in my room and I didn't really feel like passing out from hunger in class. I met up with my homegirls for breakfast because they just got out of their Traditions Council meeting, so that was cool. Then I went to Environmental Science, and I am proud of myself because I've been getting 5/5 points on each quiz we've had in this section so far. yay! Then came Political Science, which is interesting but the guy drones on and on about crap, so I never know if I should write down stuff that he talks about that isn't on the slide. Then I went over to Barnes and Noble because I'm working on an article about this grad fair for seniors, so I had to talk to the manager to get some quotes. She was nice, and I got the information I needed, so that was good. I am def. Journalismed out though. Just wrote three stories in a 24 hour period, and will be writing another one for News Writing class tomorrow. But I want all the experience I can get so it's all good! Anyways, for Environmental Science lab today we walked down to Lanana Creek, which is kind of behind the IM fields. Sometimes I feel like I live in the middle of a freaking National Forest or Park or something. We have all kinds and sorts of little places on campus for research and parks and the arboretum, which I randomly ended up in after cutting through the area after lab ended. lol. But anyways, for the lab we had to take samples out in the creek, and I was like, there is no way I am going out there, so I pretty much just sat there the whole time. Oh well. And next week we are doing the same thing with the Ag Pond. God bless whoever is taking the samples from there. We cleaned it out last semester with YD's, and you don't want to know what we found in there. ick. Tonight in Philosophy we watched The Matrix, and it was OK, I just don't like movies about time travel or alternate dimensions or whatever. And I'm supposed to be going home this weekend, but it's just been hard getting ahold of people, and it seems like no one goes home anymore. I just don't understand why I can't have a car at school. It would make my life 1234454345% easier. And I really want to go home and see Kip this weekend! Like whoa. He's pretty much the most amazing person alive, and he is so the best boyfriend anyone could ask for! Yes, you are babe. :)

the weekend of depressing movies and boob grabbing.

So last night I could not fall asleep until 5:30 in the morning. I came back from Jordan and Allison's room and got into bed around 2 because I was pretty tired, and I just kinda laid there until like 2:45 when I bolted up because I was like gagging, and totally was about to be sick. I drank a bunch of water and that helped me feel better, but everytime I laid back down I kept feeling sick. I have a bunch of drainage and crap in my throat and head, and it probably went down to my stomach and started making me feel sick last night. It was pretty bad. And now I am like super tired! :( But anyways, yesterday was a good day except for feeling bleh throughout parts of it. Hung out with Allison, Jordan, and Stevie, and we watched Titanic and The Virgin Suicides. We started watching Titanic at like 6, and the weather was really bad and it was like pitch black outside and it was lightening and thundering and we were really scared. But we survived! yay! So anyways, we're getting to the end of Titanic, and the three of them start talking about how Rose dies at the end and I'm like, oh wtf?? she doesn't die!!!?? And then they're like, umm she totally dies! So we get to the end and yeah, it's pretty obvious she dies. Wow, I can't believe I've been living a lie for the past 10 years! Totally didn't catch on to that. But anyways, we then watched The Virgin Suicides and it was a really good movie! Been wanting to see it for awhile now. After that Jared came up to hang out with us, and then him and Stevie went to get us Wendy's at like midnight. yay! So we get out the video camera because we wanted to watch what we had recorded, and I must say we have pretty freaking hilarious lives! haha. So then we decided to record some more stuff, and basically we got Jared grabbing Jordan's boob on tape, Jared's reaction to 2 girls 1 cup on tape, some more confessions, and some other funny crap on tape. haha. pretty hilarious.

I SHOOK BILL CLINTON'S HAND TODAY!!!

Yes, that is right! And it wasn't a wimpy shake, it was a real firm strong handshake!!! It was totally a defining moment in my life! So anyways, I was excited all day about Clinton, especially because the YD's were helping set up and everything. So we get there around 4, and there weren't too many people there. We had to hand out these little slips of paper for people to fill out which was like their "ticket" to get in. People kept coming and coming and coming. The line wrapped from all the way from the Grand Ballroom to the Pine Log office, all the way around and around. It was so so crazy. And people were freaking out when we kept running out of papers, because we were all walking around handing them out to everyone. Finally at 6 we got to go inside, and we got second row seats, baby!!! Clinton spoke for like an hour about why we should vote for Hillary, and I mean she does have some good points, but I am still supporting Obama in the primaries and beyond. But of course if for some reason she wins the nomination I will support her because I am going to support my party.
I really can't believe I shook Bill Clinton's hand!!!!

Bill Clinton is coming to SFA!!!

So so so so excited right now!!! Bill Clinton is going to be speaking tomorrow at SFA! This is going to be a defining moment in my life!!!!!! I will totally be in the front row!
So anyways, today has been a really good day so far! It would be the best day ever if I were with my love, but all that matters is that he is in my life already!! :D Well today in the cafeteria they actually had good food! Same with last night! For lunchie lunch I ate a turkey wrap, a calzone, and then they had the most amazing desserts! They had bright pink rice krispie treats!!! And the amazing blondies with chocolate chips! And chocolate chip cookies! Ok I'll stop now because I sound like a total pig! lol. Tonight me and Jordan are going to eat dindin, and then walk down to Marble Slab and get icecream, and then watch movies til LOST comes on, and then watch more movies! It will be great! And tomorrow we get to see Bill Clinton! And hopefully meet him! Well, we WILL meet him. We will.
Oh, so I totally met the frontman from The Afters last night! He was just chilling on the couches outside the cool bathroom in the UC and so me and Alex went up to him and I got his autograph. woot woot!

Life can be really frustrating at times. I just wish I could solve every problem that comes my way and could make sure the people I love don't feel sad or upset. :/ Sometimes I just want to be out of college, working at a real job, and just being able to see Kip everyday and be able to live our lives together.
Anyways, yesterday was an OK day i guess. Me and Alex and her friend Chris went to IHOP last night after my night class to get free pancakes. We totally put our order in like 5 minutes before the promotion ended! whoop whoop. So I had my free stack of pancakes with yummy strawberry syrup, and I also ordered some scrambled eggs! I also got chocolate milk, but it totally sucked because they just put Hershey's syrup in regular old white milk. I guess they ran out of chocolate milk since they were probably really busy yesterday.
Well today I just have News Writing lecture in the morning, and I'm about to head to lab for that class. I really don't feel prepared to write a story because I don't have hardly any information, but I'll just have to go with it. But I can't wait for tonight because I get to see The Afters!!! I am so so excited for this! I still can't believe they're performing at SFA in the freaking student center! Before that though I'm going to bible study with Jordan and Stevie, which will hopefully be good.

Texas Weather Is A Moody Bitch

Walking to class this morning at eight was like walking in a weird twilight zone because the light was all eerie and it was thundering off in the distance and it was really creepy! But luckily right as I was walking up to the building it started raining so I didn't get that wet. But walking to political science after that it was totally like a monsoon outside! And as the morning progressed it just kept getting colder and rainier!!! Major suckfest people!!!
So anyways, right now I'm eating lunch before my next class and enjoying this chicken burrito and these amazing little desserts that are like blondies with M&M's in them! Alex and I discovered them last night at dinner and they are simply amazing!!
I have to finish two articles by the end of tonight, and I haven't even started on my opinion piece, and I don't know what I'm writing about, so that could be a problem....
I have my philosophy class tonight. I should probably start on the reading considering I have a two-page paper due on it. I don't know why I've been procrastinating so much this semester! Not good! I'm just really busy with work, classes, homework, clubs, and the paper! I totally would quit my job if I could but I need money. And I don't even have money when I AM working. It's a vicious cycle, lemme tell ya. OK, I'm out homies. be back later.

Mean Thoughts and Cheap Shots

So today has not started out too fabulous. I was totally excited because the article I wrote for Monday's issue was supposed to have pictures with it so I was thinking it was going to be somewhere on the front page. So I cut through the UC on my way to class to pick up a copy of the paper, and my article wasn't in there at all! So I was like, OK, so did I just write a really crappy article or did the guy just not have any good photos? I'm pretty sure it wasn't run because the photographer was having issues with getting good pictures, so hopefully it wasn't because I wrote something boring or blah. :/
So anyways, then after class I go to the cafeteria to get some lunchie lunch and they weren't open 5 minutes earlier like they usually are. They didn't even open until like after 11:05. So that was just fabulous. And thennnn I got a ticket to get my stuff togo, and I got to the front of the food line, and I seriously told the guy TWO freakin' times before he started getting my food that I wanted it togo, and I'm standing there with a ticket and a cup, and he just looked at me weird at started putting my foodies on a regular plate. So at the end I'm like, "hey this is togo." And he looks at me with a disgusted look on my face and is like, "next time tell me first," and he makes a whole big deal about it! I was like, I effing told you two times! It's not my fault if you can't hear me when I am standing two feet away from you! But it's not like I could tell him that. Whateverrrrr.
So anyways, now I'm sitting on blogger and facebook instead of doing homework, and I am falling behind, and I'll never catch up. And I have to come up with 3 story ideas, and two of those in the next four hours. No bueno.

Saturday, in the park, you'd think it was the fourth of july.

So I am sitting in the library right now procrastinating as usual!! I wonder how long it would take to read every single book in here? The weather outside is freaking amazing right now!!! Well yesterday was a pretty good day. I woke up and watched LOST online, and it was great. I had a burnt grilled cheese and fries for lunch since I couldn't eat meat. yum yum let me tell you. Then I was planning on doing homework until my interview, but I ended up playing around on Facebook and Myspace for three hours!! Later I went over to the Forestry building to talk to some people for the article I'm working on. It was pretty cool, they are hardcore about what they do though. I wanna try to throw axes and stand on a log in the middle of a lake!! So then I met up with Stevie, Jordan, and Allison and we went to go eat dindin. I had Fruit Loops, 5 cheese lasagna, a salad, and banana pudding and birthday cake icecream! Then we all went to the lobby and watched the tube until it was time for Bee Movie. ok well I know you are dying to hear about the rest of my day but you will have to wait because my friend Rachel is coming over to the library to visit me! yay!
