More than anything I wish things could be in black and white...just this once....

Oh Lily Allen....

...you really do describe my life sometimes.

It's five o'clock
In the morning
Conversation got boring
You said you'd go
Into bed soon
So I snuck off
To your bedroom

And I thought
I'd just wait there
Until I heard you
Come up the stairs
And I pretended
I was sleeping
And I was hoping
You would creep in
With me

Put your arm
Around my shoulder
And it was
As if the room
Got colder
And we moved closer
In together
Started talking about
The weather

Said tomorrow
Would be fun
We could watch
A place in the sun
I didn't know
Where this was going
When you kissed me

Are you mine?
Are you mine?
Cause I stay here
All the time
Watching tele
Drinking wine
Who'd of known?
Who'd of known?
When you'd flash up
On my phone
I'd no longer
Feel alone
No longer
Feel alone
I haven't left here
For days now
And I'm becoming
Amazed how
You're quite
Affectionate in public
in fact your friend
Said it made her
Feel sick
And even though
It's moving forward
There's just the right
Amount of awkward
And today
You accidentally
Called me baby

Are you mine?
Are you mine?
Cause I stay here
All the time
Watching tele
Drinking wine
Who'd of known?
Who'd of known?
When you'd flash up
On my phone
I'd no longer
Feel alone

Let's just stay
Let's just stay
I wanna lie in bed
All day
We'll be laughing
All the way
You told your friends
They all know
We exist
But we're
Taking it slow
Now let's just see
How we go
Now let's see
How we go

Let's just stay
Let's just stay
I wanna lie in bed
All day
we'll be laughing
All the way
You told your friends
They all know
We exist
But we're
Taking it slow
And let's just see
How we go
Now let's see
How we go

The rest of my wonderful Spring Break

Alright, here is the rest of my Spring Break starting off with Wednesday. :]

Wednesday: Diane and I spent the day in downtown Dallas. We decided to take the DART train, since that would save gas and we could just take the train to wherever and not worry about parking. Well there's always creepers on there since it's cheap transportation in the middle of a big city, but I had never had an actual experience dealing with one until now. lol. We get onto the train at the first stop, and this guy is getting on at the same time at the door down from us, and I see him looking over at us but didn't think anything of it. We sit down, and the guy sits in front of us, then asks Diane if he could talk to her for a minute. She was like, about what? And he just started asking her creepy questions like how old she was, and what she does for fun, and where she goes to school and all that, and we're texting back and forth the whole time trying to decide what to do. She finally gets her boyfriend to call her so she could be distracted and when we got to our stop we like bolted off the train lol. Needless to say, it was kinda a freaky experience. We got some Starbucks and did a little shopping at Mockingbird Station and then got on the train again and took it farther downtown to the museum district and took some cool pics. Then we went to the West End, where we saw Keith Urban's tour bus in front of House Of Blues. He was playing a small, very expensive show there. We took pictures in front of his tour bus to look cool, of course. Then we got her boyfriend to drive us back to the car because he had met up with us at the West End and had his car with him so we didn't have to talk to anymore creepers lol.

Thursday: I spent the day out at Brandon's house on Thursday. But of course knowing me I had to get horribly lost on the way over, even though it's not difficult to get there at all. Google maps failed me twice in the same week. Sigh. But yes, we grabbed some lunch and walked around the outdoor shops and drove around and looked at all the fancy houses out there. Then we chilled at his house for awhile and he and his brother tried to make me do a system update on my computer so I could get the new version of Safari, but since I've only done one the whole two years I've had my Mac, it was going to take like 7 hours lol. So no new cool Safari for me. Later I came home and then Diane and I went to Starbucks and studied for a few hours.

Friday: Woke up and watched SFA play in the NCAA tournament. Although we lost, it was still awesome to see my school play in a national tournament. And, we didn't even loose that badly since the team we played was epically great. So yes, I am definitely still proud to be a Lumberjack! Then I got ready for the day and went to meet up with Diane at Starbucks again to study for a few hours. Then I came home and watched some movies and ate ice cream and just relaxed.

Saturday: Today I did basically nothing of interest. lol. Just did laundry and packed and got ready to head back to Nac. Now I'm ready to go back, but I don't want to face responsibilities or schoolwork. There is nothing of interest going on in the next three weeks. Well, actually there is a lot, but I'm not really excited about it. Going camping with the sorority next weekend. I am dreading it. I've never been camping, so I'm really nervous. I mean, what if we get eaten by bears or something? lol. Kidding. But yes, what will I do without my computer or hair straightener for a couple days? Freak out, I'm sure. Maybe it'll be fun. I doubt it though. Well here's to a great spring break. Hopefully the rest of this semester won't be too bad.

Spring Break days 3 and 4

Spring Break has been pretty great so far. I didn't blog yesterday, so I will start with Monday's adventures. I was woken up by my sister, and got ready and then went to Northpark with my mom and sister to go shopping. We got there and were having lunch, and the subject of my summer plans came up. I really really really want to stay at school this summer, it's just been a bit difficult convincing the parents. So, we're talking about it, and my mom actually seems okay with me doing that. And, she actually came up with an idea involving me having a car over the summer. Since my dad would have to come get me in May, it would be pretty hard for him to come back three weeks later to drop me off, come back in August to get me, and drop me off again later in August, so me having a car for the summer only would actually be beneficial. Since we have an extra car at the house right now it actually would work out perfectly. However, since there is no newspaper in summer I would have to find a job in order to have the car there. But that might not be too hard. Talked to dad about it today. He's not 100% convinced, but he's getting there. I would be so so so happy if I could have a car for summer! So we'll see. :] Anyways, we did some shopping, and I ended up getting two pairs of sandals, some shorts for the pool, and a pair of capris. Later that night my dad got home from his trip to Seattle so I caught up with him for awhile, and then just talked to people online the rest of the evening.

Today I woke up and went to get my hair trimmed, and came back to the house and ate some lunch. Then Diane and I went to Sprinkles Cupcakes, and it was amazing as usual. Then we went to Northpark, again. lol. I got a really cute turquoise dress at Forever 21. Tonight I took my sister and her best friend to see Jason Reeves in concert, which we have been quite excited about. It was in downtown Dallas, and I know my way around pretty well, but stupid google maps failed me this time. We got downtown, and were supposed to turn down some street near one of the DART stations, but it turned out to be some scary thing, and at one point we actually thought we were driving on the train tracks and were going to be stuck out there. It was very scary lol. But thankfully we found the venue, and got inside. We made our way to the front of the crowd and were right up by the stage. It was a small venue but that's nice because it feels more intimate. Jason Reeves was really great live. He played all our favorite songs, and I have come to the conclusion that I have to put dating a musician on my list of things to do before i turn 100. It's going to happen. And I don't mean like a guy that knows how to play an instrument in college band, I mean like a real legit (sorry jordan :P) band and whatnot. :]

On a random note, I have come to the conclusion that when I graduate next year I want to move to New York City and get a really awesome studio apartment in Greenwich Village and work in some area of the journalism/communication industry and be like a starving bohemian type writer. It's going to be great.

Spring Break Day 2

I love music. Without it sometimes I feel like I would be totally lost. Right now John Mayer and Jason Reeves just seem to be speaking to me through their music. And, I get to see one of them live this week which will be great fun. It's just nice to know that I'm not the only one feeling a certain way, even though it feels that way sometimes. I want to enjoy my Spring Break. I think all this gloomy weather has not been helping my mood for the past few days, but it is going to be sunny and 75 tomorrow, so I am determined to wake up and be content with life.

Today was the second day of Spring Break and it was alright. I slept in until 1 p.m. and then woke up to find SFA playing basketball on ESPN for the final game in the Southland Tournament. I watched the game and it was pretty awesome. We won, and are going to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in our school's history, which is pretty freaking exciting! However, there are always those haters that believe since we're a smaller school that we won't get any further. Well, we made it to the national championships, were undefeated in our conference, were undefeated in the Southland Tournament, and have the Player of the Year in the Southland Conference, so I think we can handle it in the big leagues. I am proud to be a Lumberjack baby! My roommate plays in the band, and she gets to travel with them to Miami for the first game! I am so jealous! But I will be watching the game on television of course. :]

Then we just ate some dinner, and then I went to go hang with Diane for awhile. We went to Starbucks and just chilled and caught up for awhile and then went to Target and they had so much freaking cute stuff. I saw the cutest Hello Kitty sandals ever, but they are 17 dollars. I am so very tempted to go back tomorrow when my paycheck clears lol.

Then we were driving home, and saw this traveling carnival that is up at the mall for a few weeks, so we decided to go check that out since it might be a good photo op. Took some cute pictures that I edited on the wondrous Picnik when I got home.

Hopefully the rest of the week will be fun. Shopping, trip to Ft. Worth, Sprinkles, Jason Reeves concert, hanging with Brandon and Diane more, and good weather. :]

Spring Break

Spring Break should not equal rainy cold weather. But that's what it's been like the past few days. And it sucks. At least the weather is supposed to get better by Monday. But anywho, yesterday we headed home around noon, and it was a nice trip, but it rained the entire three hours home! Lame sauce. I got home around 3 p.m. and right now it's just my mom and sister and I at home because my dad is in Seattle for a business trip until Monday. So we rented Rachel Getting Married and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and both were pretty great. Then today we saw Slumdog Millionaire (yes, i realize I have seen it three times now lol but it's good!) and did a little shopping and had dinner at Chili's. Then we came home and I got really bored so I decided to go study and chill out at Starbucks, which was nice. Now I'm chilling on the couch watching television and talking to a couple people online. Hopefully the rest of break will be a bit more eventful.
On a random note, for some reason I have come to the conclusion that I have like all guy friends now. I don't know how exactly that happened. The people I talk to/hang out with the most include Jordan, Brandon, Garrett, and Nathan. Only one of those people is a girl. Obviously I have more female friends, but I don't really talk to them anymore on a regular basis. I never used to be one of those girls that had mainly guy friends. In fact, I used to be the girl that guys with all female friends wanted to date. Now it's like the exact opposite and I don't know why. And that's not to say I want to date every single male friend I have. Brandon is like a brother to me at this point, and Nathan is as well, I just want to know how I got to this point. Hanging out with guys has it's advantages because there is hardly any drama, and I abhor drama. It's just weird to me. Idk. I can't really explain it. Oh well.
