Well That Is That, And This Is This.

I seriously don't understand why I can't save money. I have spent over 400 dollars since I have been at school. That is 100 bucks a week. I don't go shopping, so the only places that money could have gone to would be Walmart and out to eat. Some would say I go out to eat too much, but Little Ceasar's 5 dollar pizzas just call my name sometimes. Like earlier tonight when I was so hungry that I could have probably eaten an entire farm of animals. Yeah. So the past couple weeks have been good, busy, but good.
I have become obsessed with Vitamin Water this semester. It's pretty much amazing and my fridge is stocked full of it right now. I am also obsessed with Halloween candy, including Peeps and candy corn. They pretty much rock my world right now.

Hurricane Ike

So I'm sitting here in the middle of a hurricane. And I'm sick. And i have no food. Well, barely.
This sucks.

Come Pick Me Up, Take Me Out, Steal My Records....

So I've been on a Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown kick lately. I've just recently discovered a new love for alt-country/ folk-y music. I remember back in the day when I discovered some of the music I hold dear to my heart, like Death Cab For Cutie and Pavement. I just love the way some music can make your soul feel complete and give the world some sort of meaning. And Ryan Adams is slowly but surely falling into that category for me.

On a different note, I cannot wait for autumn to get here. I can't wait for that chill in the air, and to just sit outside drinking hot chocolate.

This school year has been interesting so far. Things are slowly falling back into place for me, and I am glad. Starting this week things are going to kick into high gear as The Pine Log starts back up on Thursday. I am really excited about this semester though, and hope to get some good articles in.

This blog was pretty much pointless, but that's what's going on inside my head right now.

Status Quo

I never really thought about it before, but I don't like changing the status quo. My freshman year I made some really awesome friends and was involved in a few activities I thoroughly enjoyed. This year when we came back to school, things were the same, yet somehow different. There are subtle differences in people's personalities, and new classes and new experiences waiting to be had. I feel like everyone in my close group of friends/aquaintences that everyone has a partner sometimes. I don't feel left out, it's just that my "partner" that I can always count on is miles away and I miss having someone like that near me all the time. I am readjusting to being at school, and although things are the same, they also feel different. I miss the status quo, but I guess as the days turn into weeks things will return to a normal pattern.

OMG I'm So Bored!!!

So I had a whole day of stuff planned out for today, and I get in the car earlier and my freaking battery is dead.

So I've been sitting in here alone all day watching America's Next Top Model for the last five hours and I don't even really like this season and I've seen it 8 times already!

Somebody get me out of the house!!!!

So, only five more days until I head back to Nac!!! I really can't wait, but I will miss seeing Kip everyday.

I'm pretty much all packed; I'm not bringing near as much stuff as last year! So I've had a bunch of free time this week since I'm not working anymore, and time has gone by so fast now that I'm not working. Thursday was a fun day. Kip and I went out to Grapevine Mills Mall and hung out there for awhile. It was a cool mall, but it really bugged me because everything was on one story, and they could have made it better by putting it on like two floors in order to save space! Then we drove around downtown Grapevine and it was really cute, and then we went to Target. I got a bunch of awesome Hello Kitty stuff in the dollar section! And I also bought Eclipse, so I own all four of the Twilight books. :) Then I was ready for dindin and wanted to eat at the Olive Garden there so we wouldn't have to drive home in Dallas rush hour traffic. Well Kip didn't want to eat there, and we couldn't decide anywhere else to eat so I was like, OK let's just head back to closer to home. So, it's like 5:30 which means it is def. rush hour. So we drive for an hour and a half around the metroplex trying to decide where to eat. We finally eat at Snuffers and had amazing cheese fries and burgers. Although I probably ate enough bacon to last me the rest of my life. Then we headed back down to G-town and hung out for a little bit more. All in all it was a very good day. :)

Breaking Dawn Review

"Happily ever after" are three words that can be used to describe the fourth installment in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers. The book Breaking Dawn is the fourth and final book which readers have been highly anticipating for months. At 754 pages, Breaking Dawn is the longest book in the series, which is ironic considering the book is quite anticlimactic compared to the first three.

For readers not familiar with the series, Twilight follows Bella Swan, your average high schooler, and Edward Cullen, the strange and fascinating boy Bella encounters on her first day of school at Forks High School. The first three books follow the characters as they struggle to stay together regardless of the fact that Edward is a vampire and immortal.

Breaking Dawn opens with Bella and Edward's wedding, and carries on to their honeymoon at the tranquil "Esme's Island." A few weeks into their honeymoon, Bella starts to exhibit strange symptoms such as extreme tiredness and food poisoning. She soon finds out that she is pregnant, but not everything is as it seems. The book goes on to discuss the bond between the Cullen family, as well as Bella and Edward.

The first book, Twilight, seemed to focus primarily on the relationship between Bella and Edward and the hardships that came about from their different lifestyles. In New Moon, the second installment, Edward is absent for a majority of the book, which provides for a new kind of relationship between Bella and her friend Jacob, although Jacob's feelings for Bella are stronger than what she feels for him. The third book in the series focuses on the problems Bella faces with two men in her life vying to be number 1. She must ultimately make a decision and pick only one, which puts us to Breaking Dawn, which focuses on the love between all of Bella's family members.

Breaking Dawn is different from the other three books; not necessarily bad, but different. Bella and Edward went through many struggles in the past, and Meyers is just simply giving them their happily ever after.
