So this week has been pretty good so far. Sunday was one of my days off, so Kip and I hung out. We went to Steve And Barry's and I got some good stuff. And we went to this place called Entertainmart which had really cheap DVDs. And then I got Season 1 of Heroes at Target for 18 bucks!
Then Monday I didn't have to work again, so I sat around the house and didn't even get dressed until 5 in the afternoon. lol. But I did some good studying and TV watching. On Tuesday I worked and then met up with my mother and her friend and her daughter who is one of my oldest friends at Cheddars for dindin. Then I picked up Kip from work and we went over to Kyle's for a small get together. I got to play Guitar Hero for the first time. Somehow I had never played Wii/ Guitar Hero before....but I think I was a natural. :P And now I'm just blogging and waiting for Kip so we can go eat lunchie lunch. yay.

Blogger, where have you been all my life?
Ummm yeah....it's been awhile blogger....
Anyways, summer has been relaxing i guess, not exactly amazing, but I have gotten to spend time with Kip, which makes everything worth it. Just working and taking an online course and catching up with some tv shows and books.
This summer I have:
-watched every episode of Sex And The City
-watched every episode of Heroes (up to date)
-watched every episode of Weeds (up to date)
-read all seven Harry Potter books. i had never read any before!
wow, I really have no life sometimes. haha. but now I feel more upto date with some of the "entertainment" stuff. I can't wait to get back to school and the paper. I really want to work hard this year so I can get a good internship next summer. I would love to intern at the Dallas Morning News, but I don't know if they will think I have enough experience for them though. But I'm going to apply anyways.
I'm also pretty stoked about my new dorm this year. And to have a roommate that is actually going to be my friend...haha. And I won't be working every night like I did last year so I can actually do stuff on weeknights.
I only have a week and a half left of work here, and after that Kip and I are going to hang allll the time. yay. And eat yummy food and go on adventures and be cool. :) I actually learned how to save money this summer, and hopefully I will be able to buy my own car in the course of the next year, depending on how much money I can save throughout the school year. Buttt I can't wait to get back to school and see all my loves!!! But I will miss my pookie monster terribly! :)And i've just been ramblinggggg. I feel like watching the Zenon movies...they should totally put those on DVD....

Bus 15, Red Thongs, Amy's Ice Cream
So last weekend was one of the best weekends ever. I went to Austin with the SFA Young Democrats for the Young Democrats State Convention. Needless to say, the only reason people went was because it was a free trip to Austin. So we left Nacogdoches around 1 on Friday, and the drive was alright. The weather was perfect for a roadtrip. We arrived in Austin around four, and somehow didn't get lost the whole way, which is pretty impressive, considering none of us had driven that way before. We checked into the hotel and everyone else from our group had gotten there right before us. A little bit later we went out to eat at TGIFriday's because Sarah Francis works there, and she would get 50 percent off on the whole ticket, which is pretty sweet. The restaurant overlooked the Congress Bridge, and it just so happened we were there right in time for the bats to fly out. That was cool, I have seen them before, but it was from farther away. Then we went back to the hotel to figure out which club we were going to go to. We decided to go to a gay club, which is funny cause only one person out of like the six of us that went was actually gay...lol. But anyways, we took the bus that night cause we didn't want to drive downtown, so we have to cross I-35 to get to the busstop on the edge of UT. We are sitting there waiting, and then we see the bus we need pull up on the other side of the street. We all just sit there for a second, and then peel out across MLK Bolevard and run for it. We made it, and a few stops later it drops us off at an HEB that Kip and I happened to go to on Spring Break. So we're like, OK, this is bus 15, but it's not going downtown? So the driver said another 15 comes here in a few minutes....so we sit there and then the bus did come!!! So we get downtown to the gay club finally. We walk in, and it was probably 95% gay men. The song playing was a Miley Cirus song, and all the guys were singing along to it. There was this platform for people to dance on, and there was this one guy who was wearing tighty whities over a red thong. Throughout the night the tighty whities kept getting lower and lower, and by the end of the night his red thong was all he was wearing. The whole thing was pretty entertaining nonetheless. We had to take the night owl bus back, and that was an experience in in of itself. Saw some veryyyy interesting people. lol. And you thought Austin was just weird during the day. :P But anyways, got up the next morning and went to do some convention stuff. Then we went to the Capitol and toured it. Then I went to UT and met up with Diane. I got to see her dorm and then she took me to Plucker's, where I got ranch flavored chicken!!!! Then we went to go see this play called Assassins on campus, and it was really really good. I really wish I could go to UT, since there is sooooo much to do in austin! But I know I would flunk out because I would be going out all the time. So I will jsut wait like only two years until i'm done with school to move there with the love of my life. :D But anyways, the next day we had to go vote for Arika for rural caucus chair, and then we hit the road by 12ish. I ended up driving the whole way back to Nac, but I did good. It was a great weekend!!!! I can't wait for this weekend though: I am getting to see Kip for the first time in a month, I get to go to Northpark, I get to eat yummy food, and I get to see a good movie!! totally stoked.

Being Gangsta.
So today I woke up at 11. Then I braced the weather to walk three whole minutes to get to the dining hall to eat with Jordan, Stevie, and Jared. I had a grilled cheese, cherry coke, and cake with chocolate chips and coconut on it. It was good. I wanted a patty melt instead of a grilled cheese though. Oh well. Well then we walked back to the dorm and Jordan and I built a fort in the lobby and we are on our computers being gangsters as usual. This weekend my mom and sister are coming to visit me! We are going to get to eat good food and go look at pretty flowers! I might go to the movies tonight, it just depends on who is going and if it's still raining, or how much more studying I have to do, because I have three tests next week, and I have to get all A's. Like really.

Hear You Me, My Friends
Today I woke up at 9:30 and really didn't want to go to my 10 o'clock class. I went though, and found out it was cancelled, along with the lab this afternoon. So I got out of bed for nothing. I really just wanted to sleep all day. I am way ahead in all my classes because I studied a lot when everyone was gone for Easter Break last week, and this weekend at home. I have felt kind of melancholy off and on the past couple of days. I know eventually I will feel better, I just wish everything could be easy all the time.
Anyways, I finally saw Atonement last week and totally loved it. I am now reading the book and it's pretty good. This week has been pretty boring so far. Monday I had my one class, and just studied the rest of the afternoon before going to work. After work I ran over to Jordan and Allison's to watch the new episode of The Hills. They really cleaned out their room, especially because of the mold infestation that happened in their refrigerator. Tuesday was a pretty busy day because I have a full load of classes, and I was working on two big articles. But I ended getting everything done in the end. Hopefully this weekend will turn out OK. Probably just hang out with friends on Thursday and Friday night, and then Kelley is coming to visit on Saturday, which will be good.

Spring Break Adventures.
Kip and I went to Austin last week during spring break, and we had a pretty kick-ass time. We left Dallas on Thursday afternoon, and got to Austin just in time to see Spoon that evening. It was at Auditorium Shores, and there were tons of people there. It was a good show, and they were one of the bands that I most wanted to see at SXSW. We get in the car to drive back to Kip's uncle's house, but we kept getting turned around downtown. Then we noticed a funny smell, and realized the car was overheating. It finally started smoking really badly, and we pulled into an apartment complex. We were there for an hour and a half waiting for the car to cool down. We encountered many drunk people, including a girl who was screaming that she hated Americans. Which was funny because she was American....we also saw many bikes, mopeds, and dogs. Interesting place, Austin. We finally got some fluid in the car, and got it to Kip's uncle's house. The next day we woke up and headed to Book People. They had so many cool things, but I was on a budget, so I could only get a few things. I got a really cool bag that looks like a cassette tape. I also got a book that is one of those "create your own adventure books." It is a create your own Jane Austen novel, and it is really awesome. Then we went to Cheapo Records, and then had Kirby Lane Cafe for lunch. Later that day we went to a nice mall, and I now really want an Ipod Touch for my birthday. I also got some Dippin' Dots, and they were pretty freaking amazing. That night we went to the Film Festival part of SXSW, and saw a movie called Assassination of a High School President. It was at the Paramount Theater downtown, and it was really cool. At the end of the movie they had the director, writers, and the main character come out for a Q and A, so that was really neat. Then we waited for the bus right outside the capital building, which is a really pretty sight at night. Later that night we went out for dinner with Kip's uncle at a really good pizza place. The next morning we had breakfast at Lonestar Kolache, which was really good. Then we did some more shopping, which included a really big Goodwill and Half Price Books. Then we had lunch at Chipotle, later to our dismay we found a Freebirds, which is amazingly more good. (I know that last sentence contained many grammar errors at the end.) The we went to this record store called End of An Ear, and when we pulled up there was this crazy band performing in the parking lot. The frontman decided to climb on the roof and then jump off. Onto a little stool. Only In Austin. At midnight we went to the Alamo Drafthouse to see Rocky Horror! It was my first time to see it. It was pretty awesome. The next morning we had to drive back early because I had to go back to school later that afternoon.
Tattoos, Sweet Tea, and Cops.
So I haven't updated this thing in like two weeks. Alot of stuff has happened in that time, so it's going to take like forever for me to write everything out. I will start with Tuesday night. It was an amazing night. I got out of class and just went back to my room thinking it was going to be a normal night. Then Jordan texted me and told me to go to the tattoo place with her, Allison, and Jeryca to watch Alex get her tattoo. So the four of us piled into Jordan's three seater truck. We always drive illegally around here, which is not smart at all. So we get to the place, and this is like 10 o'clock on a Tuesday night but there were already two people in front of Alex waiting to get tattoos. So we're walking up to the door and we see Alex run out screaming "hey it's my posse!" haha and she is totally drunk. We walk inside and we see Erin and Katie and James are all there too to watch her get the tattoo. So we hang out in there for like an hour, only to find out some girl had an appointment, so they take her before Alex. So it was going to be another hour, so we all decided to drive down to Caine's to get some foodies. So the four of us get into the truck again, and we're driving down North Street and we stop at a red light and see a cop sitting in the parking lot directly behind us. Crap. So we start freaking out and then somebody said for one of us to duck down, but then that would cause movement, so we all just froze. And then Jordan told me to lay down and look like I'm giving her a blow jay, so I go, "Ok just let me put my hair up!," which would make me look like a boy, which i thought would distract the cops, which would make no difference at all since there were four people still in the truck. but we all start cracking up because it was the stupidest thing that i could have said. haha. but we got to Caine's safely. Then we went over to Jenna's to have some fun. And I didn't have one sip of alcohol, but I'm pretty sure I was the one who seemed the most drunk. It was pretty funny. I did drink a whole thing of sweet tea right before, so I'm assuming that's why I was so hyper.
