Worst Day Ever

Today was probably the worst day of my life so far. I've been really sick the past couple days and went to bed last night around 11 after I took some more medicine. I then slept for almost 15 hours. When I woke up around 1 today I felt like I was about to die. I could barely move or sit up. My throat was killing me and I had a high fever. I called my house just bawling like a baby because I felt so bad. The doctor on campus isn't open since it is the weekend, so my parents told me I should just try going to the hospital in town instead. So I called Jordan up and she was able to take me. We get there and I sign in and see an orderly in the ER. He takes my blood pressure. Then my temperature. Then he tells me my blood pressure is doing something weird. It was jumping back and forth abnormally. He tells me he wants to run some tests to figure out why it was doing that. Well, I will tell you why it was doing that. Because I get nervous just even thinking about going to the doctors, let alone going to the ER without my mom or my normal doctor. That is why my blood pressure was so high. I try and tell him that. He doesn't believe me. Then we go back to the room with the scary hospital bed and all the things like you see on television. They hook my finger up to some thing so they can monitor my blood pressure. I had talked to my parents and they told me that I definitely did not need any heart tests, I just needed a throat swab to determine whether I had either strep throat or the flu. Jordan and I just sat there for awhile just talking about random things like movies and Edward Cullen so my heartrate would get back to normal. Then a doctor came in and just talked to me for awhile and they told me I needed some blood work done to determine whether I had flu. That's ridiculous. They could have just taken a throat swab. So I was like, if I do have flu, there's no medicine you can give me, so why should I even bother having blood taken in the first place. So we left because they weren't going to do anything else for me. I hate doctors even more now. But that does make me appreciate my real doctor back home even though I always complain when I have to go. lol.
